Competition Time

If you read the writer’s magazines, there are loads of writing and poetry competitions going on all the time. You could spend your writing career full time just entering them all. For this reason, I don’t often broadcast them.

But then, three unusual ones come along all at once, like buses, I felt I had to share them with you.

… and for good measure, I’d thought I’d throw a competition involving no writing in all of my own.

Competition 1: Write a short story in 140 characters

The Times Cheltenham is running a competition to write a story in just 140 characters on Twitter (well 135 when you include the #TCTC hashtag).

By the way, the prize is a £140 Waterstones voucher – £1 a character.
