Blowing Your Own Trumpet

blowYourOwnEvery once in a while I feel it’s justified to blow your own trumpet … and this is one of them.

This week I ran the first of a new format of workshop for me – called a Blockbusting Workshop, it’s specifically aimed at removing writer’s block and setting a bunch of talented and latent writers off on their new literary careers.

Even I was surprised at the response, so much so that I’ve set another date for the next one on the 27th May and bookings have already started for that one too …

…. details and registration here

I’ll say no more but just tell you what the attendees of this week’s workshop said …

“In the Blockbusting workshop, Tom lifted the veil on the mysteries of the publishing world by explaining all a writer needs to know to publish successfully. As an intelligent, practical and yet very spiritual man, Tom enabled us to reach out into the vastness of our own potential creativity through short meditations and mental, physical and spiritual exercises. Add to this, Tom’s generosity in giving us his presentation notes and free books and this course has to be the best value and most enlightening training I have ever received. Many thanks, Tom, you have lifted my thinking to a new level.”

“A day with Tom is like spending time with your fairy godmother.  I was uplifted by the air of magic he brought with him.  He is intuitive, responsive and resourceful and brought an mood of enchantment to the day which could otherwise have been mechanical and mundane.”

“What I liked best about Tom’s workshop is that his game plan is so simple and do-able. All an entrepreneur has to do now is go home and do as she’s told. Like every great guru, he’s made it really easy for us.”

“Tom helps you dig down deep inside yourself to find the book you have hidden there. Using a variety of techniques, some new-world’ish and others involving meditation, Tom opens minds to what they can create and does it all in a relaxed and supporting style.”

“Don’t over-complicate it or put up resistance, just write and publish, write and publish, write and publish. You could be holding your own book in your own hands much faster that you could ever have imagined!”

“Thoroughly inspirational – if there is the will there is the way: you helped reinforce the will and I know if I am stuck, I will find the way with your guidance. Good to know that there is help at hand through your experience. Am always in awe of people that find a good business idea and fill a niche, particularly doing something they love – you are one of those people”

“Good atmosphere, pleasant mix of people and excellent imformative delivery. I’ve been to workshops where the content is a little thin but spread out over a whole day. This event provided a wealth of information and still left you exploring ideas on the
way home.”

“For someone who struggles to write even just a testimonial during an event, seeing the words flow onto the page for not only the beginning but also the end of my book was a revelation. Tom, I loved your light touch in crafting the day around the attendees. It set the scene for the effortlessness ease of creative inspiration.”

“I was happy to learn that writing could be so easy.  My biggest fear is writing.  You included a diverse range of ideas and practices – some of which I am familiar with and this helped me to get back to my centre.”

“Excellent informative and inspiring workshop that provides the tools to kick start your creative flow. Tom is a highly knowledgeable facilitator who fosters a belief in others and encourages self-exploration and creative expression. I would recommend Tom’s workshop to anyone struggling with the doubts and frustrations of a would-be writer.”
