Over the last few years, it has amazed me how the same blocks come up time after time.
Some of these blocks not only affect people starting out on the road to writing but also authors who have completed their manuscripts and are having trouble getting it published.
Spelling them out and seeing which one or ones affect you is the first step in overcoming them.
The seven blocks are these:
1. Not knowing what to write or how to start
2. Thinking you haven’t got the talent
3. Thinking you haven’t got the time
4. Fear of being ridiculed or failure
5. Fear of the unknown
6. Fear of success
7. Thinking it’s difficult to get published
Now I am not making light of any of these blocks – even though they might sound intangible, they are as real as a brick wall when you come up against them.
Fortunately, the solution are equally tangible …
