Apple have followed Amazon’s lead and iBooks can now have audio and video embedded in them.
See my blog Do iPad or do I Kindle for more on this … and note that, somewhat ironically, Kindle Enhanced Editions (as Amazon called them) are only for Kindle Readers on iPhones and iPads not Kindles themselves.

If one of your books sells in a book shop, as an author, you are likely to get less than 10% of the selling price.
